Founded in 1970, the club from the Occitan capital is back in Ligue 1 Uber Eats after two seasons in the second division. Champions in 2021-2022 with 79 points, the Violets, then coached by Philippe Montanier, won their third Ligue 2 BKT title thanks to their two strikers Branco Van den Boomen (12 goals & 21 assists) and Rhys Healey (20 goals & 4 assists).

In the 2022-2023 season, newly promoted in the Ligue 1 Uber Eats, Toulouse won the first Coupe de France in their history against defending champions FC Nantes.

Key player

Although still very young, Jean-Clair Todibo knew several clubs before settling on the Côte d'Azur. He left FC Lilas at the age of 17 and arrived in Toulouse to finish his training. A good performer, he did not take long to join the professional group and made his debut at the age of 18 in the South-West derby against Girondins de Bordeaux. A few weeks later, he scored his first goal against Stade Rennais FC. Jean Clair flies 10 games later to FC Barcelona. He then went on three successive loans: to Schalke 04, to Benfica Lisbon, and then to Gym, where he signed a permanent contract on 27 June 2021.
