Tickets : OGC Nice - FC Basel

Twenty-time Swiss champions FC Basel 1893 are no strangers to European competition. A UEFA Europa League semi-finalist (2013) and UEFA Champions League quarter-finalist (1974), the Swiss club reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Conference League in 2022-2023 after knocking out Turkish Trabzonspor in the play-offs and Slovan Bratislava in the last eight.

Last season, FC Basel reached the last eight of this competition, before losing to OM.

They will have to be particularly wary of striker Andi Zeqiri, the Basel's top scorer in the league and 4th top scorer in the UECL this season, with 5 goals in 10 games, but also Jean-Kévin Augustin, trained at Paris Saint-Germain, Andy Diouf, trained at Rennes, or Taulant Xhaka, the older brother of Arsenal midfielder, Granit Xhaka. This ¼ final will also be the occasion to meet two former Aiglons, defender Andy Pelmard and striker Dan Ndoye, both of whom arrived at the Swiss club following a loan during the 21/22 season.
